Botox (Botulinum Toxin) Treatments
Botulinum toxin treatments for expression lines, teeth clenching, excessive sweating and chronic migraine.

Commonly known as Botox, this treatment involves injecting very small doses of a protein called botulinum toxin type A into specific muscles or into areas with sweat glands. It temporarily reduces the signal that travels from the nerve endings to the muscle or sweat gland. The effect is temporary: over time the body re-establishes nerve transmission and the area returns to its previous function.
In aesthetics, its best-known use is for expression lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows and around the eyes. It is also used for medical purposes such as teeth clenching and enlarged jaw muscles, excessive sweating of the underarms, hands and feet, and chronic migraine in suitable patients.
At her clinic in Ataşehir, Dr. Fulya Koç plans Botox not to create a frozen face, but to help you look more rested while keeping your own expressions. The dose and injection points are determined individually after your facial anatomy, expression habits, medical history and expectations are reviewed together at the consultation. Sometimes the recommendation is to treat less, or not to treat at all.

Questions about Botox (Botulinum Toxin) Treatments
Botox temporarily relaxes muscles, so it works on lines caused by facial expressions. Fillers use a substance such as hyaluronic acid to replace lost volume or support. They address different concerns and, if appropriate after your consultation, can be planned together.
For expression lines the effect usually lasts 3–6 months, for the jaw muscle 4–6 months, and for sweating it often lasts longer. Duration varies with the area treated, the dose, muscle strength and the person’s metabolism.
No. As the effect wears off, the muscles gradually regain their previous movement and your face returns to how it looked before treatment. Natural aging continues during this time, but stopping Botox does not speed up wrinkles.
Tell your doctor about the medications, supplements and chronic conditions you have. Treatment is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you have an important event coming up, it is recommended to schedule your treatment at least two weeks ahead so the effect can settle and any bruising can fade.
